C'était le gingembre qui a tout commencé. J'étais dans une épicerie bio, cherchant quelque chose a remporter dans mon hôtel mon premier soir en France. Quand je peux, j'aime faire du bien à l'environnement, et c'est là où j'ai fait la connaissance de Monsieur Gonzales, mais il m'a pas fait parvenir son nom que quelques jours après.
It was the ginger that started it all. I was in a small organic grocery store looking for something to grab for dinner at my hotel during my first evening in France. When I can, I like to do something for the environment, and it was at this time that I met Mr. Gonzaes, but I didn't learn his name until a few days later.
Il avait fabriqué un jus de gingembre que j'ai beaucoup apprécié, et je l'ai bu sur sa terrasse simple et paisible sur la rue des Infimières. J'ai lu un peu d'Artaud, en prenant mon temps à déguster ce jus magnifique. Et d'ailleurs,dans cette mélange de citron et de gingembre, j'ai trouvé qu'il me faillait plus de gingembre, et Monsieur G a eu la gentillesse de m'en ajouter plus! De ce moment, je suis devenu fan fidèle.
He created a ginger juice that I really thought was great, refreshing, and I drank it on the tables set up outside on Nurses Street. I read a bit of Artaud, taking my time to enjoy this magnificent juice. Besides, in this mixture of lemon and ginger, I found that I needed a bit more ginger, and Mr. G was kind enough to graciously add more ginger! From that moment on, I would become a faithful fan.
Mais, en rentrant, j'avais oublié de noter la rue et le nom de son épicerie / resto. Heureusement, Avignon est assez petit que je peux me perdre pendant des heures avec la confiance de retrouver une rue, un endroit, une personnne...avec patience certes!
However, returning home that night, I had forgotten to take note of the street and name of his grocery store/restaurant. Luckily, Avignon is small enought that I could get lost for hours with the knowledge that I could find a street, a place, a person...again...with patience, of course.
