Vive la diversité

Today we gathered in our little classroom in the FEP. It looks like someone's living room, but they added a few tables and stuck them together to make a long conference table. There are a few couches and lovely bars on the window. Occasionally trucks roll by.

There's a nice cool breeze coming through.
Here is the cast:
MaryAnn Frese Witt, our guide
15 teachers
9 women
6 men
States represented: Alabama, Colorado, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Washington as well as the District of Columbia.
Teachers here speak/know/teach English, French, Latin, Spanish, Russian, Ukranian, Haitian Kreyol, Norwegian, German and Sango (from the Central African Republic).

We teach in public schools, independent schools, high schools, middle schools, in urban centers or rural areas. Some do AP, others IB, the National French contest and the state standard exams. All of us have varying experiences with theater--some are actors and others just dabble. Ages...well, we're straight across from mid-twenties to...je ne sais pas.

This is a diverse group of people, and we're liable to make some interesting things happen here. Sorry about stating the obvious. Well, I'm not really sorry.
